An introductory text clearly benefits from the6 d- G$ w( o& ~: S- b$ N, P& z
coherence provided by a single author, but suffers from

compromise was devised, in which each chapter was coauthored
/ s a/ [* q2 v6 U4 }by an expert in the specific area under consideration.
